1. Gala New Year's Eve Party

Come join us on New Year’s Eve as we kick off the first day of Worlds and the first day of the New Year. We’re going to have the kind of party you can only experience at Worlds! After all, where else can you social dance with people from just about everywhere? 

The party starts at 9:00 pm in two locations: general country, swing and line dancing will be held in Tennessee Ballroom C, while Presidential Ballroom B will feature an “exclusively line dance” format.

Our world renowned deejays will most certainly add to your enjoyment. Our NYE line dance deejay will be European favorite Tommy Weafer from Ireland, while the multi-talented April Prince from the United States will be playing swing and country tunes until the wee hours. 

The Opryland Hotel will naturally supply bar service and catered snacks throughout the evening. We’ll add in some surprises of our own to make the evening fun and memorable. 

Admission to the New Year’s Eve party is included in your 6 day event pass. If you don’t have a 6 day pass, either a one day pass ($50) or a single night pass ($20) will get you in as well. All of these passes are available on site.  

You don’t have to dress up a lot, but we’d like to encourage everyone to dress up at least a little bit for this special occasion. Feel free to bring your own “customized” party hat and noise makers.

Contest Guidelines and Prize Information

Five video's will be selected as the contest finalist.  Finalists will teach their dance on the open dancefloor in      the Opryland Hotel Lobby during the week of Worlds. All submissions are welcome, but finalists must be present and teach      their dance to win. The top dance will receive FREE REGISTRATION to Worlds 2014      in Nashville, an Average Joes Prize Pack and a private meet & greet      with the artist they Choreographed their dance to. Video links should include a walk through and demo not to exceed three minutes. All age groups welcome. 3. Revised Variety Show Format:

This year's Saturday night variety show will begin with a brief "champions Showcase". This addition to our program will give everyone in the audience a chance to see and appreciate many of our brand new Champions that won their World titles earlier in the week.

We'll also have a special guest appearance at this year's show. Country music star Jamie O'Neal will be on hand to sing a couple of tunes just for us(you may see afew familiar faces on the floor during Jamie's performance). Also appearing with Jamie will be rising star Rachele Lynae!
